Thread City Development in Willimantic was chosen to receive a $14,500 Preservation of Place grant from CMSC, reports the Willimantic Chronicle. The funds will be used to build the capacity of the organization by engaging a consultant to assist with developing priorities and a strategy to move forward. “They’re trying to grow into a more mature, sustainable organization,” said Christine Schilke, CMSC’s Communication Manager.
