In front of 150 state and local leaders at Asnuntuck Community College, Gov. Ned Lamont spoke of recent economic successes in both Enfield and state wide. CT Main Street Center CEO Patrick McMahon spoke as well, giving a primer on Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to the group. McMahon, who was hired by the town of Enfield to guide them in the creation of a TIF district, explained that it is not a new tax, but a way for a town to reinvest in themselves. In Enfield this will mean continued efforts to revitalize the Thompsonville area.
