A beautiful small New England mill town, Naugatuck has a surprising history forged by pioneering geniuses of industry and fearless risk-takers. Naugatuck was destined to become an industrial community, with the abundance of waterpower from the Naugatuck River. 19th Century industrial wealth and visionary philanthropy created a significant architectural legacy evident in this compact and walkable downtown.
