CMSC presented a free workshop in late May to inform town officials and brownfield owners and developers about new opportunities. Some of the changes that were addressed include:
- Legislation that reduces liability for towns and cities working to rehabilitate and market their brownfield properties.
- New streamlined regulatory approval processes.
- Newly funded grant and loan programs to assist communities.
- Technical assistance available from State brownfield experts.
