The Connecticut Main Street Center will be consulting for Enfield to develop a new TIF district focused on Thompsonville. Our CEO Patrick McMahon will be leading the charge with a preliminary plan due to go before the town council by early February.

As Patrick explains, “A TIF is not a new tax, but rather a way to designate tax revenue and reinvest it in one district… Enfield has made significant strides over the past decade in revitalizing Thompsonville. The new train station will be a major catalyst for the neighborhood… The town has an opportunity to capitalize on its building momentum, and a TIF district is one of the ways to do that.”
