Connecticut Main Street Center and the University of Connecticut Extension are connecting Danbury and Meriden in an effort to provide “First Impressions” and constructive feedback to further improve the two downtowns.
First Impressions is a joint program coordinated by CMSC and UConn Extension that pairs up Connecticut towns to provide that initial insight that is hard to get from your own residents, or those already familiar with your downtown.
“These cities may already know what their challenges are, but because they hear them every single day, they might not be paying attention to them anymore,” said Susan Westa, CMSC’s own Community Engagement Director. “But somebody from the outside with a different perspective might offer new insights.”
