The State of CT has committed $200M to two new grant programs to encourage high-tech jobs and vibrancy in Connecticut cities and towns. The Innovation Corridor Program will fund “transformational” projects in major urban areas targeting 15,000 new jobs and the Connecticut Communities Challenge Program will award grants throughout the state to improve the liveability and vabrancy and create 3000 new jobs.

“Investing in our communities and high-growth industry sectors is a key part of our plan to accelerate long-lasting and equitable economic development in Connecticut. These two new programs will have wide-ranging impacts as we emerge stronger than ever from the pandemic, creating thousands of new jobs, improving the vibrancy and quality of life in our communities and making all corners of the state even more attractive for investment and opportunity.” — Gov. Ned Lamont
