Having regained enough members to take action, the Enfield Beautification Committee is ready to get back to work improving Enfield, reports the Hartford Courant. The Committee, which has 12 members, is responsible for many of the beautifcations projects throughout the town, including the adopt-a-spot locations. To reach residents, the Committee has a presence on the Enfield town website and Facebook.
The Committee is enthusiastic about the fresh perspective brought by new members. They plan to focus on a transit station that will hopefully be coming to Enfield and a bike path. The Committee also wants to focus on Thompsonville, a historic section of town, and to resume Enfield’s “Clean Sweep”, a town-wide, day-long cleanup in May.
The Enfield Beautification Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month, except in January, July and August.
