The city of Torrington hosted a workshop recently to ask residents and visitors what comes to mind when they think of Torrington.  The event was part of a marketing and branding initiative undertaken by the city as a result of a Preservation of Place grant from Connecticut Main Street Center.

The city is working with the Causeway Agency, a marketing consultant group that specializes in city-based branding projects, to develop a brand that will attract new businesses, residents and visitors to the area, reports the Register Citizen.
