Putnam was bestowed with two prestigious awards from the Connecticut Main Street Center, “the people who know downtown economic development better than anyone else in the state,” reported the Norwich Bulletin.

Putnam’s Economic and Community Development Director Delpha Very was presented with the Eversource Founder’s Award, while Putmam’s First Fridays won an events and programming award.

Speaking of CMSC’s June 8th Awards Gala in New Britain where the awards were presented, Putnam Mayor Tony Falzarano said, “’It was a beautiful event and wonderful to have [Very] recognized for all she does in the world of economic development and for Putnam. . . and it was also great to see First Fridays and Ann Monteiro recognized for all they do.’”
