CMSC Board Member Toni Gold’s Op Ed in the Hartford Courant sheds light on the regionalism being discussed in Connecticut.

“Regionalism is the dirtiest word in the Connecticut political vocabulary because real regionalism would require small towns and affluent suburbs alike to stop pretending that they have no connection to or responsibility for the center cities on which they depend. This snipping of a state into a lot of minuscule towns is not what the rest of the country does — and for good reason. It is financially irrational.”
