Drew Crandall is the new President of Rockville Downtown Association, reports the Hartford Courant. Crandall runs a local marketing firm, Keep in Touch, and joined the RDA about three years ago. He has designed a “roadmap” for the RDA’s future based on feedback provided by RDA members during a brainstorming session a year ago on what direction the group should take going forward.
In response, Crandall formed an executive round table of Rockville business leaders, to pick their brain, do a reality-check, and vision cast future. Crandall also had the group reconnect with the Connecticut Main Street program, meeting with Main Street executives earlier this year, to talk about the RDA and how similar programs are doing across the state. He also hopes to foster more cooperation between the RDA and the Rockville Community Alliance and other community organizations, as well as helping contribute to the economic vitality of Rockville by being a champion and advocate for local businesses.
