The Hartford Courant brings us some good news on recent Connecticut grads:

“Despite what you may hear about young professionals leaving our state in large numbers, I can tell you that UConn students continue to be a critical factor in driving the economy of our state,”  James Lowe, director of the Center for Career Development, reported to UConn’s board of trustees.

Lowe reported that seventy-eight percent of in-state graduates from Uconn who started work within the past year, have settled in Connecticut.  This is very different that current U.S. Census data which shows close to 40,000 millennials leaving the state in 2014.
