Renovations to several buildings on Bridgeport’s McLevy Green will provide 32 new apartments in the heart of the city with beautiful views of the green. Darien-based developer Forstone Capital is finishing up work on the buildings at 155-189 State Street and 899 Main Street. Harlan Haus, a German beer hall, and Stress Factory Comedy Club will open soon in the ground floor spaces, as well as a management office for the Darien-based developer Forstone Capital.
McLevy Hall, adjacent to the green is another building in need of a new life. It is currently empty, but Thomas Gill, Bridgeport’s Economic Development Director said he expects interest in this historic building to increase with the completion of Forstone’s current projects. “Obviously that building is special and needs to be preserved,” he said.
