Our members know how important our downtowns are to Connecticut, both socially and economically. Not only are they the heartbeat of our communities – providing interesting, dynamic spaces for friends, neighbors and colleagues to interact with each other – but they also provide a far greater return on investment than typical big-box development. And studies show that revenue generated downtown stays downtown.

We help our statewide network of members create, maintain and manage their commercial districts by providing education and training, resources, tools and advocacy. We use the proven Four Point Approach™ to downtown revitalization developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to address the organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring needs of our Main Streets.
