CMSC and its consultants will present its findings from a study on ways to improve the downtown area to make it more attractive for housing will present its findings from a study on Wednesday night at City Hall, reports The Register Citizen.  The Come Home To Downtown program is a partnership between CMSC and the Connecticut Housing and Financing Authority.  Torrington was one of three pilot communities chosen to receive customized technical assistance on mixed-use real estate, and will detail if the city has the necessary tools for creating and maintaining such housing.

“It’s a great program, a great partnership,” said Mayor Ryan Bingham. Bingham said the presentation on Wednesday is critical for the town’s efforts to revitalize housing in downtown Torrington but also for other communities at large who may not get the opportunity to have such a study conducted in their cities or towns.
