Bridgeport’s own Hatch 130, is launching a new project to simultaneously help local small businesses access their branding, web design, content creation or marketing services, as well as benefit local charities.

Through the “Hatch Initiative”, every month Hatch 130 will donate $10,000 of their services to a small business, which will in turn donate $1,000 to one of a group of charities the agency has chosen to support in 2018. The charities include Sandy Hook Promise, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Head Start Bridgeport, Groundwork Bridgeport, Northeast Animal Shelter and the Cardinal Shehan Center.

“Three years from now, when the amphitheater is up and the beer hall is in and there’s new restaurants and there’s a real thriving downtown and a city as a whole, it would be really cool to say we were able to play a role in that in some way shape or form,” said owner Scott Lilly.
