Klein to Commissioner of the new Department of Housing, Connecticut has the opportunity to create a cohesive housing policy says the Hartford Courant in an editorial.  Affordable housing is a must in order to attract and retain young workers and aging baby boomers, and should be included in mixed-income developments, preferably near transit.  The lower cost units will be offset by the higher cost ones, lessening the suburban-urban gap, while promoting smart growth and other positive policies.
