The Upper Albany neighborhood, a CMSC designated member community, has been named a federal promise zone, the Hartford Courant reported.  The area is part of a 3-mile swath in north Hartford, along with the Clay Arsenal and Northeast neighborhoods.

The Promise Zone designation means that north Hartford would get “priority consideration” for federal funding. Local leaders hope is much needed funds and manpower to one of Hartford’s neediest areas.
