CMSC’s President & CEO, John Simone, wrote a letter to the Hartford Courant in response to a recent editorial suggesting traffic engineers are more concerned with hollowing out downtown centers for cars than assisting pedestrians.  Mr. Simone wrote that today’s traffic engineers are helping to build communities, not just roadways, and referenced the CT Dept. of Transportation’s support of “Complete Streets” (which are roads designed to accommodate all users, including pedestrians, buses and bicyclists).
