More good news for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD):  11 communities in Connecticut are receiving state money to fund projects intended to enhance neighborhoods directly adjacent to transit stations. Grants will fund master development plans, traffic studies, streetscape improvement projects and other work in Berlin, Branford, Danbury, Hartford, Meriden, New Haven, Old Saybrook, Waterbury, Westport, Windsor and Windsor Locks.  Targeted neighborhoods surround stations on Shore Line East, the planned Hartford Line, Metro-North’s New Haven line and its branches as well as CTfastrak bus stations.
