CMSC’s Come Home to Downtown program was honored by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Planning Association for its outstanding planning efforts in the state, reports The Middletown Press.   CMSC received the Education and Outreach Award for working with building owners to create redevelopment options and provide specific recommendations for improving the buildings.

“This award speaks volumes to what this project is trying to accomplish,” said CMSC’s community engagement director Susan Westa told The Middletown Press. “We were able to identify the issues more specifically through our first year and we will continue working with those property owners in addressing them in the next year.”
