Business owners like Nick Augustino, owner of the popular East Side German restaurant in New Britain, are looking forward to CTFastrak because they believe it will bring new customers to their doors, reports NBC Connecticut.  Mr Augustino is even considering providing his own shuttle service to carry customers from the restaurant to the two transit stations located within a quarter-mile of the restaurant.

Gerry Amodio, Executive Director of the New Britain Downtown District (a CMSC members), says people will ride CTFastrak, just as they ride the “T” in Boston and the subway in New York.  Says Mr. Amodio, “this is just a subway without tunnels.”
